CLUB EVENINGS

 Venue:

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 18h45 for 19h00 start at the School Hall, Baanbreker Laerskool, 1 Boerneef Street, Parkrand, Boksburg. We do stream our meetings via Teams on the evening. Please contact our Club Secretary, Denise Smith for an invitation with a link to the MS Teams club meeting.

What to expect:

Here is a summary of what you can expect to see at our club meetings, and hopefully it will explain some of the frequently asked questions that we get at the club. Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to speak to one of our committee members.

A typical club evening consists of:
⦁ Opening of the Meeting at 19:00:
⦁ Either the Chairman or the secretary will open the meeting and discuss the latest happenings, Salon and competition results, and upcoming events.
⦁ The judge will then be introduced, and he/she will present a short lecture with examples of his/her own photos when applicable.
⦁ After this adjudication of images submitted by Club Members will start. The points will be given as “Bronze, Silver, Gold or COM”. The judge will also give you feedback on how your photos can be improved to obtain higher points in the future, where necessary. This is how our members learn how to improve their photography skills.
⦁ We will also break halfway through the evening for refreshments, after which judging will continue.
⦁ The meeting normally closes around 22h00.
